SENIOR ENVIRONMENTS ENGINEER
Job Duties and Responsibilities
With minimal supervision, the candidate will analyze random vibration, shock, and acoustic environments on launch vehicles and develop qualification and acceptance test requirements. The candidate will also design and/or assist with specific testing to generate data in order to quantify dynamic environments. Specific duties will include finite element modeling, component testing, and data reduction. Candidate must be able to understand scope of tasks, perform analysis using appropriate classical and computer aided techniques, and prepare results for presentation.
Qualification/Skills:
Some work experience dealing with vibration, shock, and/or acoustic, or course work that focuses in these areas
Demonstrated interest in dynamic mechanical systems (course work or past experience)
Good problem solving skills
Ability to deal with incomplete problem definitions and find solutions
Experience with Matlab
Experience with finite element analysis
Experience with dynamic data acquisition and testing
Experience Required
Working knowledge of environmental testing, procedures, and requirements is required. Specific experience with military or aerospace programs in accordance with MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810 desirable and familiarity with SMC-S-016 and analysis of electronic components is a plus. Test data reduction experience including spectral analysis (SRS and PSD) and filtering is desirable. Ability to perform fundamental analytical modeling techniques and prepare written analyses is required. Working knowledge of MS office, Matlab, and FEA software desirable, NX Nastran preferred. U.S. citizenship required.
Education/Certifications
A Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Physics. MSME, MSAE preferred. Minimum of four years experience in aerospace or related field.
Education and Experience
Requires BS in Engineering & 4 years or Masters in Engineering & 2 years.
This position may be offered at one level lower.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
