Surgical Services RN Nurse Circulator

This trusted community medical center is actively interviewing for an RN Nurse to serve as Circulator and patient care specialist on its Surgical Services Team.

The Surgical Services Circulator Nurse will join an excellent community hospital on the edge of the Greater Phoenix area. Reporting to the Perioperative Services Nurse Manager, the RN (Registered Nurse) Circulator will work closely with an outstanding team of Operating Room, Post Anesthesia (PACU), and Recovery Nurses. This Circulator RN will also work closely with the fantastic surgeons who perform these cases in a department that typically closes by 5pm.

Averaging nearly 100 procedures a month, this 3 operating room Perioperative Services Department keeps its schedule quite full. The RN Surgical Nurse will work on a strong team of high-performing Operating Room professionals. This person will collaborate with Sterile Processing Techs, Surgical Technologists, and Registered Nurse First Assists to ensure that each operating theater is properly stocked and prepared. This department offers a wide array of Surgical Procedures including Orthopedics, Gynecology, Podiatry, Eyes, and of course General Surgery.

The RN Circulator Nurse will play an important part in the day-to-day clinical and patient operations of the Surgical Services Department. The Surgical Nurse will take responsibility for patient assessment and history review, working with the physician and family to develop a clear path of care. Working under unit leadership, and in close collaboration with the attending surgeon / physician, the Nurse will help formulate a care plan and execute on that plan.

From an operational standpoint, the Surgical RN will have responsibility to circulate in the operating suites, support the pre and post operation turnaround, and serve as a responsible partner on a large team. This person will get the opportunity to grow their skills through developing efficiency upgrades and operational improvements, and they ll get to lead projects to execute on those visions.
