Server Assistant @ Sun Lakes
Position Summary
To assist dining room staff as they execute courteous and rapid service to guests seated at tables in the restaurant, at the bar or on the patio. Other duties may be assigned as required.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
The Server Assistant reports to the Food and Beverage Supervisor and/or Assistant Food and Beverage Manager and Food and Beverage Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
The Server Assistant will maintain effective communication with guests and fellow team members. In addition, it is critical that the server assistant demonstrates the ability to communicate with servers regarding specific information pertaining to guests. Also, Server Assistants must have the ability to properly greet guests in the clubhouse, answer the phone properly and articulate a working knowledge of the BlueStar Resort & Golf Food & Beverage standards.

Must be willing to roll-up sleeves and dig in with staff to drive processes that support the business

Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness a must.
Knowledge / Skills
Server Assistants must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums. They must have the ability to effectively present information both in one on one and small group situations with guests and fellow team members.
Server Assistants must have the ability to calculate a guest's bill, accept payment and make proper change.
Server Assistants must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
Server Assistants should possess a Food Handler's Card.
