Cinder Solutions is looking for a solid Mask Designer to fill a role for one of our growing clients in Chandler, AZ. This is a full time position that offers a full competitive benefits package which includes things like PTO and Healthcare coverage.
Job Description:
Our clients' organization is looking for qualified Mask Designers (MD) candidates for analog and digital collateral layout development.
Able to perform a variety of technical and non-repetitive tasks associated with all phases of chip layout development, up to and including Unit and Chip-Level layout mask design.
Daily
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities will focus on layout entry of design kit collateral and circuitry
- Work with Analog Design Engineers to complete the mask design tasks coming from the circuit design.
- Responsible for creation of full custom analog layouts for high performance designs.
Required Skills:
- Significant expertise with Cadence Virtuoso layout tools and Calibre physical verification tools
- Extensive knowledge of analog matching, RF parasitics, ESD, latch-up, IR drop, etc.
- A good knowledge base of devices level layout for analog, custom digital and standard cell layout.
- Requires demonstrated proficiency in RF CMOS layout in 90nm or below designs.
- Experience with delivery of complex blocks for top level integration in a mixed signal environment.
- An understanding of analog, RF and mixed signals layout methodology i.e. device and metal routing matching concept.
- Be able to work from a leaf cells to top level planning and a deep understanding of hierarchical process.
- A good understanding of fill process and working with multiple power domains.
- Experience working with large data block. Familiarity Genoa/Genesys layout tools and experience in Hercules verifications tools.
- Able to work independently with minimal support.
- Extensive mask design experience.
- Synopsis layout CAD tools
- Working experience in Analog and Mixed Signal layout design ranging for leaf level cell design to integration
- Working experience in layout verification on advanced technology nodes using Industry standard design tools
- Working knowledge of UNIX with preferred skills in scripting for data conversion
- Device layout, verification and editing skills
- Able to utilize and follow physical and electrical design rules
- The candidate must be knowledgeable and have experience using the Cadence editor
Preferred skills:
Motivation for layout automation, methodology development, SOC layout views and data conversion is desired
Education Level:
Two year technical degree and 8
years of directly related experience
