Technical Support Engineer - level 3 Global
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Chandler, AZ area.
The Global Technical Engineer serves as a technical expert of products and services and is able to identify, analyze and resolve software related bugs. The Technical Engineer is responsible for providing technical services to merchants, developers and internal teams through the development lifecycle. Leadership and adaptability are a key component to this position as it will require building strong relationships across the organization.
Responsibilities:
o Works directly with developers, merchant and internal teams on post integration issues to provide technical support, consulting and best practices.
o Installation and configuration of payment APIs, and commerce products.
o Conducts test scenarios for technical issues with code, software, hardware, devices and endpoints.
o Communicates technical issues to merchants and internal departments.
o Identifies irregularities in functionality and unexpected behaviors with products and services.
o Develops in-depth technical information (Sample code, white papers, FAQs, Snippets) for distribution to merchants.
o Participates in the development of tools, systems and processes to improve product supportability.
o Ability to diagnose and identify issues with API's, Code, Services, and Network connectivity.
o Supports Mobile hardware such as Iphone, Ipads, Andriod devices, Tablets.
o Supports hardware and software involved with merchant payment processing.
o Works with various vendors to isolate and resolve hardwaresoftware issues.
o Supports onboarding of merchants with a payment processing solution.
o On call rotation responsibilities.
Job Requirements
Technical Competencies:
o Experience with Software Application Debugging and troubleshooting
o Some experience in two or more of the following: Java, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, PHP, ColdFusion, Perl, Ruby, Python, SQL, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, NVP, JSON, XML, SOAP, REST.
o Experience with Mobile devices such as iphone, ipad, Andriod Devices, tablets.
o Understanding of Linux/Unix commands
o Basic understanding of Firewalls, proxy, HTTP Errors, server side errors, TCP/IP
o Basic understanding of Point of Sale processing is a plus.

Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
