CTGHS is looking for outstanding individuals with significant experience to fill the following specifications:
The Oracle/SQL Database Administrator will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for clinical databases. Analyst will be assigned incident and request tickets through the client''s ticketing system (HEAT or ServiceNow), and will participate in a 24/7 on call rotation. Other duties include:
Administration of Oracle and SQL databases including backup, restore, creating test instances
Resolves open database help desk tickets through communication with department staff to identify the issues involved and determining the best possible solution available
Creation and Modification of reports and queries
Monitor table space and troubleshoot issues with system slowness
Coordinate required patching, upgrades and SSIS packages
Reconcile dbase and trans log backup problems
Participate in 24/7 call rotation
Provide second level determination and resolution of assigned applications
Advance the operational efficiency of the use of assigned applications
Responsible for the education of customers as to the solution of software problems by answering questions, interpreting operation instructions and providing references to the administration of end- user applications systems
Respond promptly to Helpdesk notifications, customer complaints and concerns
Maintain a customer-centric focus when performing his/her functions
Monitors the in-use Help Desk application software, responds to calls received via home or cell phone.
Uses effective problem solving skills by focusing on problems and ensuring that solution and/or deliverables conform to client specifications.
Completes assigned functions as stated in the engagement proposals or other statements of work with minimal supervision.
Assists with finalizing forms, procedures and documentation needed for maintenance of application programs.
Gathers, reviews and summarizes information needed to determine solutions for client application software problems.
Submits internal and external status reports on time and as required.
Expand refined skills to include the internals of more than one product area and externals of several product areas.
Communicate effectively with peers, product programmers, customer support representatives, customers and management, to ensure timely resolutions to reported problems.
Determine when, where, and how to reroute problems to other technical areas.
Inform CTG management on client problems and/or engagement quality when appropriate.
## Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience Include:
Oracle version 9.2 to 11.1
SQL 2000 or higher
Familiarity with interfaces and HL7
