Network System Analyst

Job Purpose:
o Accountable for technical assessment, design, development, implementation, and support of global network (data, voice, video) infrastructure solutions and services to meet specific business requirements.
o Responsible for researching, analyzing, proposing, and testing new and revised designs at the network device and system level.
o Lead and participate in network and other IT related projects
o Responsible for the day to day support of the network and operations of the data, voice and video systems
o Maintains established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards. Where possible, identifying opportunities for improvement
o Measures, establishes baselines, and reports on network and associated system performance
o Maintains documentation while performing essential job duties
o Liaison with vendors, partners, and external resources
o Assists other analysts with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes
Essential Functions:
Work with business units stack holders and IT team members to analyze and solve business problems using network solutions. Maintain project plans, pro-actively identify potential issues and implement risk mitigation measures. Maintain regular and appropriate communications to management, technical staff, and business unit stakeholders.
Design, develop, implementation and documentation of data, voice and video systems that provide the company's electronic information. This may include providing training to IT staff and customers. Develops standards.
Lead and contribute to cross functional project teams that address customer initiatives or infrastructure needs.
Provide support and mentoring to junior staff members who cannot find resolutions to open issues
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent
o 7 years of progressive experience in networking and computing.
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
o Solid project management, organizational and communication skills
o Experience configuring/administering LAN and WAN communications and network hardware such as routers, Ethernet switches and load balancers
o Experience working with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON and RDP
o Experience working with routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP and OSPF; working with network topologies and media such as Ethernet, MPLS, FDDI, and MPLS
o Experience working with network security mechanisms such as VPN, IPSEC and SSL
o Experience working with and/or knowledge of converged network solutions that delivers data, real-time video and voice over the same IP network
o Working knowledge of network services such as DNS and DHCP
o A proven ability to work independently or in leading a technical group in carrying out network design activities
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Data Communications Systems Technology or related field
o 10 years of progressive experience in information security, networking and computing, including experience with Internet technology and security issues
o CCNP or equivalent industry certifications
o Automation and scripting (PERL, WMI, VBS, etc) knowledge and experience
o Virtualization experience with enterprise technologies such as VMWare ESX/ESXi, VDI/View
o Negotiating with peers and customers
o Skilled in vendor management
o Leadership experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
