Water/Wastewater Engineer
Overview HILGARTWILSON, a subsidiary of Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure to become a part of our growing company.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in water/wastewater analysis and design.
HILGARTWILSON has extensive experience providing services on many of the Valley's largest and most prestigious master-planned communities, retail, office, educational, healthcare, mixed use developments and public works projects.
Responsibilities o Prepares conceptual and final design of water and wastewater projects from start to finish o Prepares reports, final design plans, technical specifications, and other technical documents o Responsible for quality control, schedules and plan production o Delegates work and gives team technical guidance assuring design is technically sound and cost efficient o Assists with project and team management and mentors other design staff o Coordinates with team members, staff, municipalities, consultants and clients o Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers Qualifications o Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field o 4
years of relevant experience o Professional Engineer (P.
E.
) registration in AZ or ability to obtain within 12 months o Computer skills required with proficiency in Bentley Products (WaterCAD and SewerCAD); MS Office Suite; and working knowledge of AutoCAD o Sound engineering fundamentals including hydraulic and hydrology principles o Experienced in water distribution and wastewater collection facilities design, which may include pump stations, storage reservoirs, well sites, lift stations, water mains and sewer mains o Demonstrates strong technical skills and is capable of preparing design on variety of water and wastewater projects o Possesses detailed understanding of local municipalities' engineering requirements o Displays sound supervisory, organizational, strong judgment and technical skills o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Attention to detail, quality work and client service o Self-motivated and able to manage and meet multiple critical deadlines Physical Requirements o Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer o Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times o Must be able to travel to various offices and project sites when necessary What We Offer At HILGARTWILSON, our people are our most important resource.
