Senior Product Engineer - 1505493

Mount Indie is seeking a Senior Product Engineer for in-plant support of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) target programs in Chandler, Arizona.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated capabilities and experience in missile systems and technical program planning and execution.
Primary duties include providing integrated technical and programmatic assistance to the Targets Program Managers, Chief Engineers and the Chief Product Engineers.
The In-Plant Representative is expected to obtain and maintain the status of program technical activities, helping to identify and resolve issues, and keeping the MDA Targets Chief Engineers informed.
Candidate will also provide technical support in monitoring and assessing the performance of the MDA prime contractor to ensure their activities and products meet program requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
o Serve as technical liaison between Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation engineering activities (in Chandler, AZ) and the Targets Program Offices in Huntsville, AL o Engage in the day-to-day engineering coordination activities to become cognizant of plans, priorities, issues and concerns o Provide oversight of contractor plans and activities to ensure sound technical approaches that meet requirements o Provide recommendations towards resolving and/or preventing technical issues o Provide insight and recommendations for resolving nonconformances (NCs) o Represent the interests of the customer in Failure Review Boards, Working Groups, Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Review Boards, Material Review Boards and Technical Interchange Meetings o Respond to questions and technical data requests from the Huntsville office o Plan and coordinate meetings and visits by Huntsville program personnel o Monitor missile system assembly, integration and test activities o Occasionally witness tests and provide real-time status reports to MDA Chief Engineers o Review and assess technical data (specifications, analyses, test plans/reports) o Review and provide comments on Prime Contractor Objective Evidence in support of major milestone reviews (e.
g.
SRRs, PDRs, CDRs) o Develop briefings and decision packages o Provide weekly activity reports of significant activities and accomplishments o Assist the contractor engineering staff in understanding MDA expectations for response to data calls and action items, and tracking and reporting status of activities o Provide input to assessment of Prime Contractor performance-to-plan o Travel to Huntsville, prime suppliers and test locations CONUS/OCONUS (approximately 10% travel).
o Meet live with all supported Targets Program Office 3ltr leadership and engineering leaders at least quarterly (either via travel to Huntsville or leveraging in-plant visits).
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
o Master's Degree in a STEM field and 12
years of experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project o Active Secret clearance and ability to maintain one o Experience in space component/system design, test and evaluation o Capability to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel o Ability to review detailed technical data and reduce and summarize the contents, results and conclusions for management o Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with the customer to facilitate information flow and collaboration o Demonstrated capability to understand the technical and program management perspective of programs What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
