Insight Global is a seeking a Top Secret Sr.
Software Engineer in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area.
The Sr.
Software Engineer must have either an active Top Secret Security Clearance or have held a TS Clearance in the past 3-5 years.
In this role you will design, develop, and test complex software systems for Satellite Communication Technologies.
You will be responsible for defining and developing features and providing support for both new and existing products.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of developing and deploying products and posses the ability to reverse engineer systems/software and develop new code to interface with existing systems/software.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with SATCOM industry experts and be a part of building and supporting innovative products at all levels.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on all levels of device drivers, on embedded platforms, and front-end web technologies.
You will participate in all phases of product development for the communications systems and help create tools and prototypes to assist in developing core products efficiently.
-SATCOM Experience preferred -Knowledge of low-level programming such as device drivers written in C.
-Firmware experience desired (not required)-Experience working with (Soft) Real Time Operating Systems -Experience with one or more of the following areas:
-Packet Processing including classification, inspection, policing/shaping, Quality of Services, load balancing -Device Drivers o TCP/IP Networking-Must posses the ability to program in a high level language, preferably Python or C++.
-Must have either an active Top Secret Clearance or have held a TS in the last 3-5 years.
-Must be located in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area or willing to relocate and the ability to work onsite.
(relocation available)-Bachelor of Science degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field is required.
-In-depth technical knowledge in a number of areas of software systems, including networking, inter-process communication, multi-thread and multi-process development, asynchronous I/O, exception handling, and error detection and reporting.
-Experience with network protocols, reading bit and bytes off the wire, packet inspection, QoS classification and policing/shaping, writing Layer2 and Layer 3 socket and raw sockets programs.
