Principal Engineer (Java)
Insight Global is looking for a Principal Engineer to join an enterprise team at one of our large banking clients as a full-time employee.
This individual will be designing and implementing complex solutions that support their credit card, personal loan, and merchant services division.
This individual will need to have a track record of creating the strategy and delivering innovate solutions while partnering with the development teams.
Principal Engineers are strategic leaders and subject matter experts that provide both hands on guidance to their Engineering teams, along with setting the target state vision for solutions.

Responsibilities:
o Design and lead teams to deliver headless microservice platforms that enable capabilities to be written once and used by many products o Act as a lesion between development and leadership teams to influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups o Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and impactful business solutions o Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization o Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership o Experience leading with Domain Driven Design principles o Financial Technology industry experience o Engineering experience with.

years of experience with Mongo Databases o 5
years of experience in a leadership position performing the following:
o Designing solutions / proof of concepts based on given requirements o Creating strategy and clearly articulating how the solution will be implemented o Ability to define project success, key milestones, and be the key point of contact for questions o Working through Agile process o 7
years of experience developing back-end software with Java and ability to resolve roadblocks o Strong experience developing with Kafka Stream Processing o Experience developing solutions within the microservice framework o Cloud native application development experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP Recommended Skills.
