Job Description:
As a Configuration Center Engineer, you will serve as a key contributor to the configuration center by performing troubleshooting and installation work on various computer and networking hardware.

Responsibilities:
Provide advanced hardware configuration of routers and switches via command-line interface (CLI) Perform IOS and firmware upgrades on switches and routers Apply configurations to routers and switches from config templates and make appropriate changes Basic knowledge of imaging desktops and laptops via Symantec Ghost server and/or MDT Perform racking and stacking of hardware components in a configuration center environment and a data center environment Perform cabling and labeling services, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions Understand the different types of network cables and power cables Able to review, understand, and edit network topology diagrams Provide remote connectivity to internal and external customers through the configuration center via VPN tunnels Assist in inventory control Troubleshoot and perform remediation repairs; escalate to Sr.
Engineers, as needed Work towards achieving industry-specific certifications:

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT Industry certifications i.

Physical Requirements of Position:
The ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
The hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
The visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time.
May have to exert or lift up to 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally and do active work that could include climbing a ladder and using power tools.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
