Job Description:
The warehouse shipping clerk interacts with the management team, the transportation team, warehouse loaders, fork lift operators, order selectors, as well as with retail store teams, to ensure ordered warehouse merchandise is complete and ready to be shipped to retail stores.
Job
Responsibilities:
On a daily basis, keying in all e-mailed warehouse merchandise add-on requests from store retail teams, creating those orders in the warehouse management system.
Creating and releasing any additional call in orders for product selecting; during order selection check for any order shorts generated by the order selectors, forcing letdowns to satisfy shorts.
Invoicing all completed stores, including call in orders.
Communicating with all departments when loads are complete.
Once all store orders have been selected, checking with the loaders to make sure trailers have been loaded, and the paperwork is turned in; then calling dispatch, letting them know loads are ready to be shipped to the stores.
Processing daily work in pick module department; researching product shorts, force letdowns, and rebuilt pallets.
Researching and adjusting product inventories, keeping track of inventory discrepancies.
After supervisory approval, making system inventory adjustments and communicating to supervision when any additional research is needed for the receiving and process improvement (PID) departments.
Maintaining excel spreadsheets for pallet counts shipped to outside customers and venders.
Creating a list of stores scheduled to receive loads for use by the warehouse set up crew(cross docks) Maintaining spreadsheet keeping track of the warehouse loaders times.
Communicate to management any orders or loads running behind schedule that may affect transportation timelines.
