The Warehouse Associate at SKU Distribution may do a variety of different tasks during the day.
The main responsibility for this job in the warehouse is picking orders, possibly packing when needed, receiving and putting away product, preparing product for shipment, general housekeeping and any other duties assigned by the manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Accurately pick orders via handheld device Attention to Detail is a requirement Locate and retrieve product for shipment utilizing system-generated pick list, validating for accuracy Lift and pull inventory from storage shelves up to 30 pounds individually, and/or 80 pounds as a group.
However, the majority of the products weigh less than 15lbs.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse at all times Other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Requirements:
Attention to Detail - is a must! Ability to focus and follow handheld directions for picking accurately.
High School Diploma or GED Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to read, understand and follow oral or written procedures and instructions Basic computer skills, scanning 2 - 5 years prior employment in a distribution environment (preferred) Proven ability to stay on task.
Must have ability to climb ladders and work from heights (10 to 15 feet) Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
