Sun Valley Recovery DTA is an adult day program for the disabled.
Our goal is to support our members in detail.

As a DTA staff, you will get to take part in supporting and caring for our members daily while engagaing in fun activites.
DIRECT CARE STAFF (JOB TITLE/RESPOSIBILITIES) Job Title:
Supporting & Caring for the members at the Day program.
We are in need of a caring, patient, and behavioral skilled person, to support our members.
RESPOSIBILITIES:
Support members in reaching Goals.
Engage in many Activates with members & increase social skills.
Maintain Cleanings Teach/Support in life skills including (cooking, cleaning, ETC) Transport members on outings.
Behavior Management skills (coping skills, redirection) Complete Proper Daily Documentation Ensure members receive their medicine Create/Participate in Activity's the members enjoy.
Preferred Work Experience (NOT REQUIRED):
1-2 years in behavioral management, 1-2 years of work with disabled adults.
REQUIRED CERTIFACTIONS:
Sun Valley Recovery will help you get some of your certs if you don't have them, but you will be required to complete article 9 (3-hour online course), & medications (1 hour) before starting, we can walk you through how to acquire them.
You will have one month from hire date to complete & finish the rest of the courses listed below.
- Basic Medications - Finger Print Clearance Card - CPR & First Aid - Article 9 -Prevention & Support - Driver's License (Preferred) Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

If a member with a stutter was trying to say something to another staff, and you knew what he was going to say because he had already told you in the other room and it took him 5mins to say that to you.
Would you help the member and tell the other staff what he is going to say? OR would you wait and allow the member to say it on his own?
