30am Part-time Overview A BHT's primary goal is to ensure that an individual reaches their optimum level of wellness and functionality within their environment.
BHT's assure a safe and supportive environment for residents.
BHT's work closely with the clinical and nursing teams to assure quality resident care and a smooth flow of communication.
This can include de-escalation of residents as needed, providing support, setting appropriate boundaries, and maintaining a safe physical environment.
BHT's provide psychoeducational group facilitation and may monitor resident self-administration of medications and assisting in daily activities, whether therapeutic or recreational.
Job Functions Monitor client's environment to assure safety including, 30-minute checks and ensuring rules are followed Begin working with client upon admission and maintain support through discharge; provide support and positive role modeling Collaborate with the clinical team to provide support and quality care for each resident.
Maintain clear communication.
Facilitate psychoeducational groups and complete thorough and professional documentation.
Participate in clinical supervision as required Provide transportation as needed Demonstrate respectful behavior toward residents and staff Maintain healthy physical and emotional boundaries Complete Intake paperwork as required, Monitor UA collection and orient residents to the environment Other duties as assigned Requirements Valid Driver's License with clean driving record Must hold at minimum a high school diploma Minimum 2 years of behavioral health and or case management experience required Must hold a minimum of 18 hours of behavioral health related education Must be 21 years of age Knowledge of Windows, basic email, Microsoft Word, timekeeping software, and basic computer navigational skills.
Ability to write professional correspondence and reports free from grammatical and spelling mistakes.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret emails, letters, policies, procedures, etc.
Shift Flexibility Self-motivated and self-directed Team player Professional and/or personal experience with substance abuse treatment highly preferred High level of patience Active Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card Active CPR and First Aid certification required.
