Construction Managers, plan, coordinate, and supervise the construction of commercial projects from start to finish. Monitor the construction process to ensure the project is completed to schedule. Assure supply needs are met at each delivery point on line Assure off-line sequencing is handled in a timely and perfected manner. Work full-time but may need to work additional hours to respond to delays, emergencies, or suppliers 95% of time is on the construction site, monitoring team members, work flow, and quality and speed of construction. Organize team members to build and allocate responsibilities and tasks to them and other staff to ensure the project is completed efficiently. Prepare detailed reports for key stakeholders that outline the successes as well as any issues that arose throughout the development of the building. Work safely following workplace safety practices set forth by Z-Modular & OSHA Review daily operating reports and report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues and shift events to superiors to prevent operational delays Troubleshoot operational and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst production personnel Discipline team members in coordination with plant management and Human Resources Obtain and/or demonstrate immediate medical treatment for all injuries Notify appropriate management and enter required events (accidents, injuries, incidents) into Intelex Balancing Skills - Construction managers are skilled at negotiating and directing team members; whether it's time on-line, supply and preparation off-line, reviewing quality or speed of work flow, or managing talent within the plant each day. They spend each day preparing for events that can occur or may not occur within the week. Time Management - Construction projects hinge on tight deadlines and strict schedules, so construction managers need to be organized to manage deadlines for themselves and their team members for each day and each project. Leadership Skills - This job requires the ability to assign tasks to construction workers; team members and influence other team members. These managers need to have great leadership and delegation skills Problem-Solving Abilities - Construction managers handle unexpected issues and hold-ups and solve any challenges that arise over the course of a build, such as off-line materials not arriving on time or any of a multitude of issues that occur on-line. Experience:
Prefer a Construction Degree, Associate degree, or Technical Diploma. Or at least 5 plus years of experience in on construction sites or in construction plant. Ability to demonstrate thorough understanding of manufacturing process. Detailed knowledge of the relationship between work centers and how variables at each work center affect other areas. Basic proficiency in Microsoft office package including Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience in Shop Floor interfaces such as MES as well as ERP usage such as SAP or Oracle based platforms Proven leadership skills Communications skills, both verbal and written.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
