Sr. Structural Engineer at zekelman industries in Chandler, AZ
ZModular currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Structural Engineer in the Chandler, AZ area. This position would report to the Director of Engineering. We are looking for someone who is highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. This position is responsible for the structural design for steel modular buildings and helping to develop design standards for all future buildings. You will be expected to solve design problems that have not been asked or solved before. You will work in the pre-design phase through fabrication of modules and final installation of modules. The experience will be challenging, yet rewarding as you shape the future of design and construction. Responsibilities to include:
Structural analysis and design of steel modular structures Steel connection design Steel and concrete podium design Structural code review Shop drawing review Communicating with design, manufacturing, and construction teams Site visits to jobs in Pheonix metro area Create site repair details Candidate Requirements:
BS in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with structural concentration (MS Preferred) 15
years of structural engineering design and analysis of steel and concrete structures Professional Engineer license with the ability to gain licensure in additional jurisdictions Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel (Knowledge of Revit is a plus) Proficiency in a structural analysis program:
RISA-3D, ETAB, SAP2000, and/or similar programs Precise written and verbal communication skills Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low cost, high quality medical and dental benefits. Salary Range:
