About the Opportunity:
We currently seek an experienced civil litigation attorney with the personality and ownership attitude to serve our healthcare clients in the field. Prior civil litigation experience is necessary; however, ESI places a very high value on intelligence, drive and willingness to learn and grow, making this an excellent opportunity for the up-and-comer who is willing to work hard to become an indispensable member of our team. As Associate General Counsel, you will join our outstanding legal/risk/regulatory team and serve as a front-line resource for our clients relating to all aspects of civil litigation defending our 32 affiliated facilities in Arizona.
Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of defending the affiliated facilities in litigation from start to finish, including identifying potential claims, investigation of claims/suits, taking depositions, preparing witnesses for deposition, drafting motions, participating in discovery, attending oral arguments, attending mediations, and trying cases. Manage litigation and strategize with the Arizona team in relation to same Communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with all levels of management regarding complex civil litigation issues Work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities Travel as needed, to attend depositions, hearings and trials in Arizona with most tasks being in Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas. Qualifications:
Law degree with a license to practice in Arizona A minimum of three to five years of civil litigation experience, preferably involving nursing home and/or medical malpractice cases Healthcare law experience preferred oProficient in writing Personal Characteristics:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
