JOB
Responsibilities:


  • Perform work as indicated on Approved Repair Orders

  • Only perform necessary and customer-requested services on vehicles

  • Conduct all repairs according to MAP (Motorist Assurance Program), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), or accepted industry standard procedures

  • Ensure that all repairs are for the benefit of the member/customer

  • Test drive vehicles when practical to identify performance or drivability concerns before initiating repairs (except when unsafe or vehicle not drivable)

  • Retest drive vehicles after repairs to verify problem resolution

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, promptly cleaning spills and debris to reduce hazards

  • Maintain company-provided equipment and machinery

  • Adhere to company and industry safety rules and regulations

  • Report all unsafe conditions to supervisor, including lifts, overhead doors, and equipment

  • Attend all required training and seek additional training to enhance effectiveness

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and repair procedures

  • Complete at least 24 hours of continuing auto repair training per year, sponsored and/or provided by the club

  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and refrain from adjusting any controls within the vehicle

  • Verify the correctness of ordered parts for assigned vehicles as soon as possible

  • Perform digital inspections and document all relevant information in the shop inspection or management system, including attaching photos or videos to illustrate repairs or needs

  • Prioritize comeback-related repairs as directed by manager or lead

  • Communicate effectively with the manager, service advisors, and other technicians to contribute to the overall performance of the location

  • Assume responsibility for the safety and accuracy of all repairs made and systems inspected, ensuring that the vehicle is as safe or safer than before work commenced

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Note:
    Travel to different locations may be required on an as-needed basis



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in the required language(s) for the role, as justified by business necessity

  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work scheduled hours as dictated by business needs

  • Proficient math and computer skills, including experience with word processing, browsers, and email

  • Strong focus on member service

  • Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmission

  • Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures

  • Maintain 100% productivity as measured by hours worked divided by labor hours flagged


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE / LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS


  • Valid driver license and acceptable driving record

  • Four years experience as an automotive repair technician (preferred)

  • Smog Repair and Testing Certification preferred (CA only)


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to lift and or carry up to 50lbs

  • Standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, reaching, lifting, climbing ladders

  • Exposure to loud noises

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
