As a procurement specialist at BioProcure, each day will present new challenges and unique opportunities to serve others.
You will be in constant communication with vendors, clients, and team members.
In this fast-paced environment, each procurement specialists contributions are vital to the success of the organization as a whole.
You are valuable and important! The Procurement Specialist processes orders using the Prendio platform.
This position reports to the Procurement Team Lead with a dotted line relationship to the Procurement Supervisor.
This position does not have direct reports.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Deliver excellent customer service through the quality of order processing and prompt, professional communication with clients, vendors, and other BioProcure employees Owns end to end management of individual ticket/orders which includes timely research, follow up, and resolution in adherence with documented department processes and procedures Process tickets in compliance with documented client-specific special instructions when appropriate Responsible for maintaining current and accurate status updates for all tickets Comply with client communication response time as per department policy Responsible for resolution of all assigned tickets Organize workload to ensure that the most important items are prioritized Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers Proactively communicate with clients to clarify any order related questions before placing orders with suppliers Minimize client issues by proactively seeking assistance and guidance from teammates and department leaders Escalate complex or delayed client/vendor needs to Team Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner Partner with supplier sales reps to get special deals and discounted pricing on applicable orders Follow up with suppliers to confirm order delivery dates and pricing, and to obtain order confirmations as per department policy Utilize Prendio reporting functionality to perform client and/or vendor transactions Attend weekly huddles Beginner to Intermediate understanding of Prendio platform and/or additional purchasing platforms Execute responsibilities with accuracy and integrity

Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office, proficiency with Outlook required Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced/changing environment The ability to cooperate and work together as part of a team The ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues The ability to learn new programs and software applications The ability to be decisive, detail oriented, and highly accurate A dependable, flexible, and consistent team player with a positive attitude Professional demeanor and confidence interacting with clients, vendors, and all internal employees.
Prior Customer Service Experience a plus Prior Purchasing experience a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
