Summary:
The Senior Administrative Assistant position is a combination of Administrative Assistant and Event Planning Coordinator. The person in this highly visible position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Chief Communications Officer and Professional Development Team as well as planning and coordinating employee and customer events and activities.

Chief Communications Officer (CCO)
Supervises:
No Direct Reports

Essential Functions:
Provides administrative support for the CCO including calendar management, travel arrangements, meeting attendance and workflow/schedule optimization.
Drafts Company communications, both internal and external, on behalf of the CCO.
Plans and coordinates external and internal meetings and events to include but not limited to proactively lead in venue selection, aggressively negotiates favorable contracts with selected venues and vendors, manage all logistical details including room setup, audio visual needs, attendee hotel registration, food and beverage, local transportation coordination, cancellations / substitutions, on-site management and post-program invoice review.
Represents the Professional Development & Training Department with internal and external customers and all level of employees including Executive Team members.
Compiles various reports and ensures information is accurate and the quality meets expectations.
Interacts with all internal customers and direct reports of the CCO/VP to ensure the office is providing the highest level of customer service and efficiency.
Responsible for a wide variety of administrative tasks including office supplies procurement, paperwork completion, onboarding new associates, and other special requests.
Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.
Other Duties:
Develops and provides employee training on Microsoft Office programs
Participates on various Company committees as requested
Coordinates charitable campaigns including quarterly blood drive

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education &
Experience:
Minimum of Associate Degree and 5 years related administrative experience or Bachelor Degree and 3 years related experience
Experience providing administrative support to an executive level manager
Minimum of 2 years event planning experience
Experience creating Company communications
Work Environment:
Temperature controlled office environment
May be sitting for extended periods of time
Work involves extended periods of computer use

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
